Plan, schedule and organise own work within the requirements of the work plan, and coordinate with other parties as required;
Ensure that milling crew personals have the tools and systems in place so work can be performed safely and efficiently;
Guide and coach individuals towards reaching personal and company goals. (Career development);
Identify opportunities for improvements (training, tools, etc.) and implement corrective actions;
Complete performance reviews as required on all direct reports in a timely and professional manner, develop action plans, and follow up throughout the year;
Promote and build a positive & co-operative working relationship with all departments, keeping safety, production and costs as primary elements to meet the mine plan;
Promote safety, PM compliance, equipment availability and cost control;
Support the Shift Supervisor in the daily activities of the Milling circuit;
Guide, coach & mentorship of Mill Operations employees in competency based circuit training;
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the health, safety and efficiency of the Milling circuits.
Requirements:
High School certification;
A Certified tradesperson or a holder of a Maintenance Technician/Technologist Certificate with work experiences;
5 - 10 years of Mill/Crusher equipment maintenance related experience;
Strong computer skills (SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Valid Driving License;
Basic knowledge of MS Projects;
Understanding of PFDs and P&IDS;
Knowledge of Ball and SAG mills;
Knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps;
Knowledge of bearings, shaft alignment and lubrication;
Basic Troubleshooting skills of mill equipment.
