Moscow, Russia, 1 February 2018 — Nord Gold SE (“Nordgold” or the “Company”) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Russia) signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement on environmental protection. Nordgold and WWF-Russia will collaborate to protect the environment and local biodiversity, support the areas under special environmental protection, and carry out analytical work on the environmental responsibility of businesses.

“WWF’s program «Stork’s nests keepers» exists already for 14 years. Since then a number of breeding pairs rose more than three times. A positive dynamics of the population and habitat expansion of the Oriental stork remains today. The data collected during the project will allow us to develop a wide range of environmental measures aimed at protecting the species and the northern areas of their habitat. We haven’t carried environmental activity in this area before.
